Sailing, diving, walking

The sea is all around and there’s plenty of fun to be had.

You will need more than a week to discover the many beaches and coves of Paxos and Anti-Paxos. Most can only be reached by boat or from winding paths : the best way to find a secluded spot !

Boats of all sizes can be rented at all the harbours. If you would rather not drive your own boat, taxi boats and excursion boats will take you on a trip around the island.

The east and west coasts are quite different. The western side is all cliffs and caves, to be discovered from the sea. The eastern coast between Lakka, Loggos and Gaios is mostly where to head for if you are looking for beaches and coves.

Snorkling and deep-sea diving

Deep-sea divers will dive to their heart’s content off Paxos. The warm, turquoise waters offer a fascinating spectacle…

Walks

Although a handful of main roads run between the main villages, Paxos is essentially an island of footpaths criss-crossing the valleys, winding through the pine and olive groves. Delighted walkers will come upon countless small hamlets and beautiful chapels as they make their way.
